The International Trade Administration (ITA) has initiated antidumping (AD) duty changed circumstances reviews of the AD duty orders on certain corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products from Canada and Germany at the request of Eutectic Corporation (Eutectic), a U.S. importer.
The ITA states that it will issue appropriate assessment instructions directly to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) within 15 days of January 3, 2006.

Google is being sued on patent infringement claims over the VoIP feature of its Google Talk program, Search Engine Watch reported Tues. The 38-page complaint, filed in U.S. Dist. Court, Central Islip, by Rates Technology Inc. (RTI) this year, contends Google Talk improperly uses 2 patents awarded in 1995 and 2001. The patents involve using the Internet to minimize long distance call costs. According to the filing, RTI wants a jury trial as well as enforcement of the patents, damages including the loss of profits, a preliminary injunction against Google Talk, and reimbursement for legal fees. The court docket indicated the parties will meet with Judge Thomas Boyle in Feb.
The PS2 version of Need for Speed Most Wanted from Electronic Arts (EA) was, in its 6th week available, again the top-rented videogame in the U.S., according to preliminary Home Video Essentials data for the week ended Dec. 25. The Xbox version was again #2. EA had one other game in the top 10: Madden NFL 06 for PS2 at #6 (up 3, 20th week). LucasArts Entertainment and Activision each had 2 SKUs in the top 10. LucasArts’s were the PS2 and Xbox versions of Star Wars Battlefront II at #3 and #4, respectively, in its 8th week. Activision’s were Call of Duty 2: Big Red One for PS2 at #5 (up one, 8th week) and Gun for PS2 at #8 (down 3 , 7th week). Rounding out the top 10 were 50 Cent Bulletproof for PS2 from Vivendi Universal Games at #7 (down 3, 5th week), THQ’s WWE SmackDown Vs. Raw for PS2 at #9 (down 2, 6th week) and Ubisoft’s Peter Jackson’s King Kong at #10 again in its 5th week.
