AD: China Fresh Garlic

The International Trade Administration (ITA) has initiated new shipper reviews for the antidumping (AD) duty order on fresh garlic from China with respect to the following companies, identified as exporters and/or growers, and review period:

Bonding Allowed in Lieu of AD Cash Deposit for Entries Exported & Grown by Above-Listed Companies

The ITA states that until completion of these reviews, it will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to allow, at the option of the importer, the posting of a bond or security in lieu of an AD cash deposit for entries of subject merchandise: (1) both grown and exported by Qingdao Xintianfeng, XuZhou Simple, and Longtai; (2) grown by Lufeng and exported by Qingdao Camel; or (3) grown by Taifeng and exported by Qingdao Saturn.

(In accordance with certain specified provisions of 19 CFR 351.214(b), the ITA states that the above-listed companies provided the required certifications, as well as documentation, to initiate these AD duty new shipper reviews.)

-preliminary results of these AD duty new shipper reviews are due no later than 180 days from December 20, 2005, and the final results of these reviews are due no later than 270 days from December 20, 2005.
