The Commerce Department issued the preliminary results of its antidumping duty administrative review on glycine from China (A-570-836) (here). The agency preliminarily calculated an AD rate of 784.48% for Baoding Mantong Fine Chemistry Co. Ltd. Once finalized, rates calculated in the review will be used to set assessments on importers for subject merchandise entered from March 2013 through February 2014.
The Commerce Department issued the preliminary results of its antidumping duty administrative review on frontseating service valves from China (A-570-933) (here), calculating a zero percent AD rate for Zhejiang Sanhua Co., Ltd. If the agency's finding is continued in the final results, importers of subject merchandise from Sanhua entered from April 2013 through April 2014 will not be assessed AD duties. Commerce revoked this AD duty order in May (see 14051316, so frontseating service valves from China are no longer subject to cash deposit requirements.
The International Trade Commission on April 3 voted to continue the antidumping duty investigation on silicomanganese from Australia, finding that there is a "reasonable indication" that U.S. industry is injured by imports of the product (here). All six ITC commissioners voted in the affirmative. The next step is the Commerce Department's preliminary AD duty determination, which is currently due around July 29.

The Commerce Department is beginning a countervailing duty new shipper review on cut-to-length carbon quality steel plate from South Korea (C-580-837) at the request of Hyundai Steel Co., Ltd., said the agency (here). Commerce will instruct CBP to allow the posting of a bond instead of a cash deposit for entries of subject merchandise produced and exported by Hyundai during the review. The preliminary results of the new shipper review are due in October, with the final results due 90 days after publication of the preliminary results. Commerce also recently began an antidumping duty new shipper review on cut-to-length carbon quality steel plate at the request of Hyundai (see 1503270015).
Kokuyo Riddhi Paper Prodcuts Private Limited will inherit Riddhi Enterprises' zero percent antidumping duty rate on lined paper products from India (A-533-843), after the Commerce Department found to be the latter's successor company in the final results of changed circumstances review (here). Commerce did not change its preliminary finding that Riddhi Enterprises' operations were transferred from Riddhi to Kokuyo Riddhi, and its business was otherwise unaffected (see 14071418).
