China Glycine: Prelim Results of AD Admin Review
The Commerce Department issued the preliminary results of its antidumping duty administrative review on glycine from China (A-570-836) (here). The agency preliminarily calculated an AD rate of 784.48% for Baoding Mantong Fine Chemistry Co. Ltd. Once finalized, rates calculated in the review will be used to set assessments on importers for subject merchandise entered from March 2013 through February 2014.

Thus preliminary AD duty rate does not change current cash deposit requirements. For now, the most recent final AD rate calculated for each company is still applicable. If no final AD duty rate has ever been calculated for a company, then it is subject to the China-wide rate of 453.79%. The final results of this administrative review are currently due in August.
