The Entertainment Software Association claimed a first- round victory Friday in its dispute with the Chicago Transit Authority, as a U.S. District Court judge in Illinois granted ESA a preliminary injunction. ESA sued CTA in July, claiming CTA’s prohibition of certain video and computer game ads was a violation of the First Amendment. The ads in question “promote expression that has constitutional value and implicates core First Amendment concerns,” Judge Rebecca Pallmeyer said in her ruling.

The National Marine Fisheries Service has announced its 90-day finding, in response to a petition, that listing Atlantic sturgeon (Acipenser oxyrinchus oxyrinchus) as endangered, or to list multiple distinct population segments as threatened or endangered and designate critical habitat under the Endangered Species Act may be warranted.
