The Commerce Department is beginning an antidumping duty new shipper review on xanthan gum from China (A-570-985) at the request of Inner Mongolia Jianlong Biochemical Co., Ltd., for merchandise both produced and exported by the company (here). Commerce will determine if Jianlong is independent from state control, and therefore eligible for an estimated AD cash deposit rate other than the 154.07% China-wide rate it currently receives.
The Commerce Department is beginning an antidumping duty new shipper review on calcium hypochlorite from China (A-570-985) at the request of Haixing Jingmei Chemical Products Sales Co., Ltd., for merchandise exported by Haixing Jingmei and produced by its affiliate, Haixing Eno Chemical Co., Ltd. (here). Commerce will determine if Haixing is independent from state control, and therefore eligible for an estimated AD cash deposit rate other than the 200.9% China-wide rate it currently receives.
The Commerce Department made a preliminary affirmative antidumping determination that uncoated paper from Brazil (A-351-842) is being sold in the U.S. at less than fair value (here). The agency will impose AD duty cash requirements on entries of subject merchandise beginning on Aug. 27.
The Commerce Department made a preliminary affirmative antidumping determination that uncoated paper from Australia (A-602-807), Indonesia (A-560-828), Portugal (A-471-807) and China (A-570-022) are being sold in the U.S. at less than fair value. The agency will impose AD duty cash requirements on entries of subject merchandise beginning on Aug. 26.
The Commerce Department issued its final affirmative countervailing duty determination on boltless steel shelving units prepackaged for sale from China (C-570-019) (here). Suspension of liquidation is currently not in effect for entries on or after May 30, and Commerce will only require cash deposits of estimated CV duties on future entries if it issues a CV duty order.
The Commerce Department issued its final determination in the antidumping duty investigation on boltless steel shelving prepackaged for sale from China (A-570-018) (here). The agency decreased cash deposit rates for all exporters of subject merchandise, effective Aug. 25.

The Commerce Department will require antidumping duty cash deposits on imports of uncoated paper from Australia, Brazil, China, Indonesia and Portugal, it said in an Aug. 20 fact sheet (here). The agency set AD duty cash deposit rates at 40.65% for Australian exporters, 33.09% to 42.42% for Brazilian exporters, 97.35% to 193.17% for Chinese exporters, zero to 51.75% for Indonesian exporters, and 29.53% for Portuguese exporters, in its preliminary determination. The cash deposit requirements will take effect on the date Commerce publishes its preliminary determination in the Federal Register.
