China Xanthan Gum: AD New Shipper Review Begins for Jianlong
The Commerce Department is beginning an antidumping duty new shipper review on xanthan gum from China (A-570-985) at the request of Inner Mongolia Jianlong Biochemical Co., Ltd., for merchandise both produced and exported by the company (here). Commerce will determine if Jianlong is independent from state control, and therefore eligible for an estimated AD cash deposit rate other than the 154.07% China-wide rate it currently receives.

Export Compliance Daily combines U.S. export control news, foreign border import regulation and policy developments into a single daily information service that reliably informs its trade professional readers about important current issues affecting their operations.
Commerce will instruct CBP to allow, at the option of the importer, the posting of a bond or security, instead of an AD duty cash deposit, for entries of subject merchandise both produced and exported by Jianlong, until completion of the review.
(The period of review is 07/01/14 - 06/30/15. See notice for more information, including deadlines for the preliminary and final results, etc.)
