Russia export controls and sanctions
The use of export controls and sanctions on Russia has surged since the country's invasion of Crimea in 2014, and especially its invasion of Ukraine in in February 2022. Similar export controls and sanctions have been imposed by U.S. allies, including the EU, U.K. and Japan. Xinhuanet reports that Georgia and Russia are scheduled to open their next round of talks on Russia's membership in the World Trade Organization on April 28-29. The International Trade Administration has is terminating the agreement suspending the antidumping duty investigation on solid fertilizer grade ammonium nitrate from Russia (A-821-811) and is issuing an AD order, effective May 2, 2011.
The Labor Department's Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB) is seeking public comments and relevant information to assist it in updating three reports on child and/or forced labor in foreign countries. One report is on the worst forms of child labor; another lists goods believed to be produced by forced and/or child labor; and the third lists products needing Federal contractor certification.

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development has released a report stating that most governments are not meeting their international commitments to clamp down on bribery and corruption in international business as many have yet to sanction any individual or company. At an April 27-28 anti-corruption conference, OECD Secretary-General Gurría will urge ministers and business leaders to step up enforcement and compliance with the anti-bribery treaty to be in line with the G-20's November 2010 Anti-Corruption Action Plan, which called on G20 countries not Party to the Anti-Bribery Convention (China, India, Indonesia, Russia and Saudi Arabia) to work more closely with the OECD or join the Convention.
