The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on steel nails from China (A-570-909) (here). These final results will be used to set final assessments of AD duties on importers for entries from Aug. 1, 2013 through July 31, 2014 exported by the approximately 30 companies under review.

The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on large power transformers from South Korea (A-580-867) (here). These final results will be used to set final assessments of AD duties on importers for entries from Aug. 1, 2013 through July 31, 2014.
The Commerce Department amended its preliminary antidumping duty determination on heavy walled rectangular welded carbon steel pipes and tubes from Mexico (A-201-847), lowering cash deposit rates for Prolamsa and the "all others" companies to correct a calculation error. Amended cash deposit requirements take effect as follows for subject merchandise entered on or after March 1:
The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on brass sheet and strip from France (A-427-602) (here). Commerce assigned each of the exporters under review, Griset SA and KME France SAS, an AD duty rate of 42.24%. The new cash deposit rates take effect March 16. Commerce will assess AD duties on importers of subject merchandise from Griset and KME France entered between March 1, 2014 and Feb. 28, 2015 at the 42.24% rate it set in this review.
The Commerce Spectrum Management Advisory Committee will take on a political hot potato Friday -- bidirectional sharing, in which commercial licensees would be asked to share their underutilized spectrum with the federal government (see 1508260066). CSMAC is to consider recommendations by its Federal Access to Non-Federal Bands Subcommittee during its quarterly meeting. Bidirectional sharing has been controversial (see 1509010059).

Antidumping and countervailing duty investigations on truck and bus from China will continue, after the International Trade Commission on March 4 voted 4-2 that there is a "reasonable indication" that U.S. industry is being injured by dumped and illegally subsidized imports, it said (here). The next step is the Commerce Department’s preliminary determinations, at which point AD and CV duty cash deposits may be required on imports of subject merchandise. Commerce’s preliminary findings are due April 25 in the CV duty investigation, and July 7 in the AD duty investigation.
