The Commerce Department recognizes the name change of an Indian company for the purposes of an antidumping duty order on silicomanganese from India (A-533-823), it said in a notice of the final results of a changed circumstances review. The agency confirmed its preliminarily finding that NAVA Limited is the successor-in-interest to Nava Bharat Ventures Limited (NBVL), saying that NAVA Limited continues to operate as the same business entity despite the name change. Commerce said that effective Dec. 6, NAVA Limited now inherits the AD rates assigned to NBVL in the AD review.
The Commerce Department has released the preliminary results of its antidumping duty administrative review on monosodium glutamate from Indonesia (A-560-826). In the final results of this review, Commerce may set assessment rates for subject merchandise from two companies entered Nov. 1, 2020, through Oct. 31, 2021.
The Commerce Department issued the preliminary results of its antidumping duty administrative review on welded stainless pressure pipe from India (A-533-867). Rates calculated in this review will be used to set assessment rates for importers of subject merchandise from 20 producers and exporters that was entered Nov. 1, 2020, through Oct. 31, 2021.
The Commerce Department issued the preliminary results of a countervailing duty administrative review on chlorinated isocyanurates from China (C-570-991). In the final results of this review, Commerce will set assessment rates for importers of subject merchandise from two of the three exporters under review that was entered Jan. 1, 2020, through Dec. 31, 2020.
The Commerce Department issued the final results of its countervailing duty administrative review on carbon and alloy steel cut-to-length plate from South Korea (C-580-888). The agency set zero percent CV duty cash deposit rates for POSCO. As a result, Commerce will not assess CV duties on importers of subject merchandise from POSCO and its affiliates entered Jan. 1, 2020, through Dec. 31, 2020.

With just four weeks until many of the rules for subsidies under the Inflation Reduction Act are scheduled to begin, Europeans continue to press for a strategy that includes European manufacturers rather than preferencing the North American auto industry -- and Executive Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis said, "We are leaving this meeting slightly more optimistic than we were entering this meeting."
Importers and exporters of solar cells and modules from Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam must complete and sign certifications within the next several weeks for any entries after April 1, 2022, to avoid antidumping and countervailing duties imposed in the preliminary determination of an anti-circumvention inquiry released by the Commerce Department on Dec. 2.
