Indonesia MSG: Prelim Results of AD Admin Review

The Commerce Department has released the preliminary results of its antidumping duty administrative review on monosodium glutamate from Indonesia (A-560-826). In the final results of this review, Commerce may set assessment rates for subject merchandise from two companies entered Nov. 1, 2020, through Oct. 31, 2021.

Commerce will order liquidation “as entered” at the cash deposit rate in effect at the time of entry for subject merchandise from exporters for which a review was not requested.

Cash Deposit Requirements

Once Commerce issues its final results, new AD duty cash deposit requirements may take effect for the two companies under review, beginning on the date of publication of the final results in the Federal Register. Commerce preliminarily calculated the following AD duty cash deposit rates:

Assessment Rates

If these preliminary results are confirmed in the final results, importers of subject merchandise exported by Daesang/Miwon during the period Nov. 1, 2020, through Oct. 31, 2021, will be assessed AD duties at importer-specific rates, and imports exported by PT. Cheil Jedang will be liquidated at the rates listed above.
