The Commerce Department has released its final determination in the countervailing duty investigation on glass wine bottles from China (C-570-163). Cash deposit rates set in this final determination take effect Aug. 26.
The Commerce Department has released the preliminary results of its antidumping duty administrative review on xanthan gum from China (A-570-985). In the final results of this review, Commerce may set assessment rates for subject merchandise from the companies under review that was entered July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023.
The Commerce Department has published the final results of its countervailing duty administrative review on passenger vehicle and light truck tires from China (C-570-017). The agency calculated new CVD cash deposit rates for the Chinese producers and exporters listed below. These final results, unchanged from the preliminary results, will be used to set final assessments of CV duties on importers for entries Jan. 1, 2022, through Dec. 31, 2022.
DirecTV is using the Venu sports streaming joint venture as a model to push for linear skinny programming bundles in other genres. Programmers and multichannel video programming distributors (MVPDs) have "an ocean of opportunity" for creating content packages around genres from entertainment to children's programming, akin to Venu's sports focus, Chief Content Officer Rob Thun told us Wednesday. "If they believe any of their own projections [for Venu], why wouldn't they embark upon this?"
The wireless industry urged the FCC to approve positions that promote 5G and 6G, and international mobile telecommunications (IMT) at the next World Radiocommunication Conference in 2027. Discovery are appealing the preliminary injunction awarded FuboTV blocking launch of the trio's Venu sports streaming joint venture (see 2408160040, said an appeal notice Tuesday filed with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York (docket 1:24-cv-01363). The JV partners are appealing to the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

The Commerce Department has published the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on large diameter welded pipe from Turkey (A-489-833). These final results will be used to set final assessments of antidumping duties on importers for subject merchandise from three companies under review entered May 1, 2022, and April 30, 2023.
The Commerce Department has published the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on tapered roller bearings and parts thereof from China (A-570-601). In these final results, Commerce upheld its preliminary finding that Shanghai Tainai Bearing Co., Ltd. (Tainai) had no shipments during the review period. Commerce said therefore Tainai's AD cash deposit rate won't change as a result of this review, and any entries under its case number during the period June 1, 2022, through May 31, 2023 will be liquidated at the all-others rate of 92.84%.
