The Commerce Department is setting new countervailing duty cash deposit requirements for imports of paper file folders from Cambodia (C-555-006), after finding countervailable subsidization of Cambodian producers in the preliminary determination of its CVD investigation. Suspension of liquidation and cash deposit requirements will take effect for entries on or after March 28, the date that the preliminary determination was published in the Federal Register.
A judge for the U.S. District Court for Maryland denied a motion from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and Education Department to stay pending appeal in a case about the Department of Government Efficiency's (DOGE) access to sensitive personal information. The court allowed its previously ordered preliminary injunction to continue.

The Commerce Department has released the preliminary results of its antidumping duty administrative review on polyester textured yarn from India (A-533-885). The agency preliminarily set a zero percent AD rate for the one company in the review, AYM Syntex Ltd. Should Commerce continue to set a zero percent AD rate for AYM Syntex in the final results of this review, the company will not be subject to an AD cash deposit requirement until further notice, and subject merchandise from AYM Syntex entered Jan. 1, 2023, through Dec. 31, 2023, would not be assessed antidumping duties.

The Commerce Department has released the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on lined paper products from India (A-533-843). These final results will be used to set final assessments of AD on importers for subject merchandise entered Sept. 1, 2022, through Aug. 31, 2023.

Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti (R) asked the U.S. District Court of Middle Tennessee on Monday again to deny NetChoice's preliminary injunction against a law requiring age verification to access social media accounts. Skrmetti argued the association's notice of supplemental authority concerns an unrelated data privacy law.
The Commerce Department soon will suspend liquidation and impose countervailing duty cash deposit requirements on imports of paper file folders from Cambodia, it said in a fact sheet issued March 25. Commerce set the CVD rate at 21.53% for Cambodian exporters, the agency said as it announced its preliminary determination in its ongoing CVD investigation. Suspension of liquidation and cash deposit requirements will take effect for entries on or after the date of publication of the preliminary determinations in the Federal Register, which should occur in the coming days. Commerce is conducting concurrent antidumping duty investigations on the same products from Cambodia and Sri Lanka, with preliminary determinations expected by May 21.
