U.S. Customs and Border Protection has updated its overview of benefits and information on obtaining, viewing and processing periodic monthly statements through the ACE portal.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Assistant Secretary John Morton has congratulated Mexico's law enforcement community for their recent award presented by the World Customs Organization for seizing the most counterfeit intellectual property (IP) products this year. "With this honor, Mexico has established itself at the forefront of the international struggle to combat this very serious problem" said Morton.

CBP has issued its weekly tariff rate quota and tariff preference level commodity report as of June 28 2010. This report includes TRQs on various products such as beef, sugar, dairy products, peanuts, cotton, cocoa products, and tobacco; and certain BFTA, DR-CAFTA, Israel FTA, JFTA, MFTA, OFTA, SFTA, UAFTA (AFTA) and UCFTA (Chile FTA) non-textile TRQs; etc. Each report also includes the AGOA, ATPDEA, BFTA, DR-CAFTA, CBTPA, Haitian HOPE, MFTA, NAFTA, OFTA, SFTA, and UCFTA TPLs and TRQs for qualifying textile articles and/or other articles; the TRQs on worsted wool fabrics; etc.
CBP has issued a Unified Business Resumption Messaging message providing an update on the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. According to CBP, Pensacola Pass will be closed to vessel traffic during flood tide; navigation will be restricted in Biloxi Bay near the southeastern portion of Deer Island and will be closed during flood tide and open during ebb.
CBP has posted an updated version of its CF 1400 (Record of Vessel in Foreign Trade Entrances) - an electronic query report for CF 1400 of the Vessel Management System (VMS), in accordance with 19 CFR 4.95, organized by entrances. CBP has also posted an updated CF 1401 (Record of Vessel in Foreign Trade Clearances) - an electronic query report for CF 1401 of the VMS, in accordance with 19 CFR 4.95, organized by clearances.
CBP has posted an updated list of companies/persons who have developed software applications for ACE electronic truck manifest. All companies/persons who are listed have been through the CBP testing process.
