Panasonic put its 40-inch LED smart TV on sale for Green Monday at $349, a $180 cut from the list price, according to Panasonic.com. That’s $100 below the trending promotional pricing for a 40-inch Samsung smart TV that’s been hovering around $448 at Amazon, Best Buy, Target and Walmart during the holiday season. Panasonic also lopped $150 off the price of the DMC-G6KK camera kit, bringing it to $599. B&H Photo was selling the same interchangeable lens/camera kit combo Monday for $529 used, while Amazon matched the $599 price of a new model.
Target put the iPad front and center of its Green Monday email promotion Monday, offering a $50 gift card bonus to buyers of the Air 2 ($429-$829) and mini 3 ($399-$799) tablets. Target offered the rest of its store of iPad Air models with a $30 gift card, though many of the tablets were out of stock online, according to the website. The $249 16 GB iPad mini, in white and space gray, was not offered with a gift card.
A $998 55-inch Samsung 4K Ultra HD TV leads the deals Walmart will roll out for Cyber Monday, the retailer said Friday, saying it will offer 500 online deals this year -- the most ever for Cyber Monday. Savings will reach up to 50 percent on products including TVs and tablets, it said. That follows the beginning of “Cyber Week” on Saturday, Nov. 29, when Walmart will offer each day 500 of the season’s “hottest” electronics, toys and more, it said. The “best” deals are reserved for Cyber Monday, it said, when it will sell an LG 49-inch HDTV at a $200 discount for $398, a 7-inch Double Power tablet for $37.22 ($32 off), a PS4 bundle with controller and an extra game for $449 ($189 off), and a Sanyo 58-inch HDTV for $499 ($300). Walmart said three times as many Americans will be getting a paycheck on Cyber Monday this year than last year, citing the Dec. 1 date.
T-Mobile is offering existing customers a free Alcatel Onetouch Pop 7 tablet beginning Friday, through Dec. 1, when they sign up for a qualifying data plan in what it called an early Black Friday deal. The tablet's regular price is $7 per month over 24 months for a total of $168, it said. The offer, which doesn’t include sales tax, extends to non-customers Saturday while supplies last, the carrier said. T-Mobile’s MetroPCS brand launched a limited-time buy-one-get-one-free deal Wednesday on a range of 4G LTE phones with the caveat that a new line is activated on the free phone, it said. The offer runs through Monday.
U.S. shoppers who own a Samsung Galaxy S or Galaxy Note device can add "Card Linked Offers" via the Samsung Wallet app for automatic coupon redemption at checkout as a result of a new partnership between Samsung and Coupons.com. The partnership will mean mobile savings for more than 20 million Samsung flagship devices in the U.S., the companies said Monday. With a single tap, shoppers can add coupons from top national retailers and restaurants directly to their Visa, American Express and MasterCard accounts, they said. "We are striving to enhance Samsung Wallet through strategic partnerships and to connect users to more useful content," Samsung said. "As coupon redemption continues to play a more and more prominent role in the mobile shopping experience, our service will allow consumers to save money more conveniently when shopping," online or offline, it said.
Target held a one-day pre-Black Friday sale Monday, luring shoppers into stores with discounts on CE products purchased online but picked up in store. Deals on CE products included Apple TV, discounted by $11 to $89, Beats by Dr. Dre Studio headphones cut by $50 to $249 and an RCA tablet, chopped by $50 to $69.99, said the ad. Target also announced doorbusters for its Black Friday event beginning at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Touting its “lowest prices ever” on LCD TVs, the retailer is taking the price of a 39-inch Vizio LED-lit set to $219, down from $340, and is leading with a 29-inch Element set for $79, down from $179, “while supplies last,” said the ad. Other doorbusters include an RCA 7-inch tablet for $39, a drop of $50, it said. Special purchases include a Westinghouse 48-inch TV for $235 and a Westinghouse 55-inch TV for $395, it said. Samsung TVs that will be Black Friday doorbusters at Target include a $197 32-inch model, a $327 40-inch model and a 50-inch model marked down by $222 to $477 with a $30 gift card tossed in. A 60-inch Samsung will be a $797 doorbuster, representing savings of $302, Target said.

Panasonic signed on as an official Paralympic sponsorthrough the 2020 Games in Tokyo, the company said Wednesday (http://bit.ly/1yDarMF). The Paralympic Games "is the most prominent sporting event for athletes with impairment in the world," Panasonic said. The sponsorship agreement covers consumer and broadcast AV products, AV security equipment, car navigation and car multimedia products, it said.
