CBP canceled it's July 12 Webinar on the "Role of the Broker," CBP said in a July 9 email. The subject of the Webinar was "Continuing Education." The Webinar was one of several CBP is hosting as part of a review and update of 19 CFR Parts 111 rules. CBP didn't say if it would be rescheduling the Webinar. A schedule of the Webinars, which as of press time didn't reflect the July 12 Webinar cancellation, is (here).
In the July 5, 2012 issue of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Bulletin (Vol. 46, No. 28), CBP published a notice that proposes to revoke a ruling and similar treatment regarding the tariff classification of over current detectors.

CBP said several Importer Security Filing (ISF) messages submitted on June 29 were accepted and returned without a transaction number. CBP processed those submissions again July 6 in order to generate a transaction number back to the filer, it said in a CSMS message.
CBP said most ABI transactions submitted to the ACE Certification environment since the June 29 ACE Certification deployment are not processing. The exception is ABI in-bond transactions (Application identifiers QP and WP) which have been processing as expected, said CBP. The issue has not impacted ACE Production CBP is currently working on a fix but it will not be ready to deploy until early next week, it said in a July 6 CSMS message. As soon as the deployment date and time for the fix is established, a CSMS message will be issued, said CBP.
Customs Rulings Online Search System (CROSS) was updated July 5 with 97 rulings, bringing the total number of searchable rulings to 171,929. The most recent ruling is dated 6/29/2012 12:00:00 AM.

CBP said the deployment to ACE Production on July 7 is rescheduled for July 14, due to power outages in the Washington-area.
