CBP said it was aware of a slowdown in cargo selectivity processing Dec. 30. It said it also was getting reports that cargo usually receiving a "paperless" release is now receiving "entry docs required" messages. It said its technical staff was looking into the situation and would inform the industry when it's resolved.
CBP is requesting comments by March 4 for an existing information collection on foreign trade zone (FTZ) reconciliation certification. CBP proposes to extend the expiration date of this information collection with a change to the burden hours.

CBP's Office of Information and Technology released an updated list of companies or persons who have developed software applications for ACE electronic truck manifest. Those on the list have been through the CBP testing process, but it said inclusion on the list doesn't constitute an endorsement by CBP, and said many additional authorized ACE electronic truck manifest filing services are not listed. CBP posted a Dec. 26 version of its CF 1400 (Record of Vessel in Foreign Trade Entrances) electronic query report of the Vessel Management System (VMS), in accordance with 19 CFR 4.95, organized by entrances. CBP also posted a version of its CF 1401 (Record of Vessel in Foreign Trade Clearances) electronic query report of the VMS, in accordance with 19 CFR 4.95, organized by clearances.
CBP's Los Angeles field office chose Price Transfer as a Centralized Examination Station to be used for anti-terrorism contraband enforcement and outbound enforcement examinations, it said in a public bulletin. The agency also approved proposed fee schedule changes, it said.
CBP released its Dec. 26 Customs Bulletin (Vol. 47, No. 51). While the Bulletin does not contain any ruling articles, it does include recent Court of International Trade decisions and general notices.
