CBP seized about 78 pounds of cocaine found in a shipping container in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the agency said. CBP found the cocaine during a secondary inspection of a container arriving on the M/V Caribbean Fantasy ferry from Santo Domingo, it said.
CBP Miami will hold a "Trade Day" event on April 2 from 9 a.m.-noon, it said in an information bulletin. There won't be formal presentation but will be a chance to interact with representatives of federal agencies regulating imports, said CBP. The event will be held in the lobby of the Cargo Clearance Center in Miami at 6601 NW 25th Street.
CBP's Port of Seattle issued a Trade Information Notice soliciting comments on the six applications to operate a Centralized Examination Station (CES) for the Seattle and Tacoma ports. The applicants were CEVA International, Horizon Lines, MacMillan-Piper, Mitco Limited, Mercer Distribution Services and PCC Logistics, said CBP.

CBP's recent Harmonized System Updates 1401 and 1402 includes the harmonized tariff schedule flags for the Environmental Protection Agency and Food Safety and Inspection Services, the two agencies participating in the Participating Government Agency Message Set pilot, said CBP. The "edits are in place to help ensure that only pilot participants file the new PGA data," said CBP in a CSMS message. "If you are not an official pilot participant, please do not submit PGA data via the new PGA Message Set." CBP opened the pilot in December (see 13121219).
