CBP’s Cargo Clearance Center at Miami International Airport will work reduced hours during the upcoming Labor Day holiday, said CBP Miami in an Information Bulletin. As with other federal holidays, cargo control and agriculture will process only in-bonds, perishables, and agriculture-related entries. Hours of operation for cargo on Sept. 1 will run from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hours for agriculture will run 6 a.m. to midnight. Perishable entries that require cargo processing after 2 p.m. on Sept. 1 may be processed at the General Aviation Facility. Shipments that require agricultural clearance will be processed at the Cargo Agriculture Window until midnight, and at the Agriculture Air Cargo Office after. CBP says it seized 377 cartons of counterfeit sunglasses worth $1,619,550 at the Port of Savannah on July 23. The shipment is CBP Savannah’s second multi-million dollar seizure of counterfeit goods this year, it said. CBP officers discovered the shipment in a container selected for examination. During the inspection, the officers found the sunglasses bore a trademark similar to the Ray Ban logo on hang tags and the sunglasses themselves.
CBP released its Aug. 13 Customs Bulletin (Vol. 48, No. 32). While the Bulletin does not contain any ruling articles, it does include recent Court of International Trade decisions and general notices.

CBP issued its weekly tariff rate quota and tariff preference level commodity report as of Aug. 11. This report (here) includes TRQs on various products such as beef, sugar, dairy products, peanuts, cotton, cocoa products, and tobacco; and certain BFTA, DR-CAFTA, Israel FTA, JFTA, MFTA, OFTA, SFTA, UAFTA (AFTA) and UCFTA (Chile FTA) non-textile TRQs, etc. Each report also includes the AGOA, ATPDEA, BFTA, DR-CAFTA, CBTPA, Haitian HOPE, MFTA, NAFTA, OFTA, SFTA, and UCFTA TPLs and TRQs for qualifying textile articles and/or other articles; the TRQs on worsted wool fabrics, etc.
