CBP and Gabon signed a Customs Mutual Assistance Agreement on Aug. 27, said CBP (here). Such agreements "provide the legal framework for the exchange of information and evidence to assist countries in the enforcement of Customs laws, including duty evasion, trafficking, proliferation, money laundering, and terrorism-related activities," said CBP. The agency now has 76 CMAAs with countries around the world, it said.

CBP issued its weekly tariff rate quota and tariff preference level commodity report as of Aug. 31.
