The Commerce Department is amending the final results of its countervailing duty administrative review on crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells, whether or not assembled into modules, from China (C-570-980) to correct ministerial errors that affected the duty rate calculations in those final results. The new rates will be used to set final assessments of CV duties on importers for entries between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2019.
Mexico, Argentina, Peru and Canada recently announced antidumping and countervailing duty actions and decisions on certain products from mainland China, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council reported Aug. 11.

The FCC rejected LTD Broadband and Starlink's Rural Digital Opportunity Fund Phase I auction long-form applications Wednesday, citing a "failure to demonstrate that the providers could deliver the promised service." LTD was the largest winning bidder, preliminarily bidding about $1.3 billion to serve 528,088 locations in 15 states (see 2012070039). Starlink's preliminary award was about $885.5 million.
West Virginia gave preliminary approval to $6 million in grants for two Altice broadband infrastructure projects through the state’s Line Extension Advancement and Development (LEAD) program, Gov. Jim Justice (R) said Tuesday. Through this third round of LEAD grants, West Virginia expects to build about 768 miles of fiber meant to connect 9,337 homes and businesses, the governor’s office said. The $6 million investment will be matched with about $8.4 million from other funding sources, it said.

The Commerce Department published the preliminary results of a countervailing duty administrative review of polyethylene terephthalate film, sheet and strip (PET film) from India (C-533-825). This review covers subject merchandise from the exporters under review entered during the period Jan. 1, 2020, through Dec. 31, 2020.
The Commerce Department published the final results of the antidumping and countervailing duty administrative reviews on softwood lumber products from Canada (A-122-857/C-122-858). These final results will be used to set final assessments of AD/CV duties on importers for subject merchandise entered Jan. 1, 2020, through Dec. 31, 2020.
