The Commerce Department issued notices in the Federal Register on its recently initiated antidumping and countervailing duty investigations on ceramic tile from India (A-533-928/C-533-929). The AD investigation covers entries April 1, 2023, through March 31, 2024, and the CVD investigation covers entries Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2023.
Bleichmar Fonti is conducting an investigation into the unsolicited nonbinding preliminary proposal that WideOpenWest received May 2 from DigitalBridge Investments and various Crestview Partners entities to buy for $4.80 a share in cash all the outstanding shares of WOW that Crestview doesn’t currently own (see 2405030047), the law firm’s overview page said. It’s probing the proposal to determine whether WOW’s board “is conflicted, engaging in an unfair process, and agreeing to an unfair amount to be paid to shareholders,” it said. WOW doesn't comment on pending legal matters, a spokesperson said in an email Wednesday.

The Commerce Department has issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (R-134a) from China (A-570-044). The agency continued to find the 23 companies under review didn't demonstrate independence from Chinese government control, assigning them to the China-wide entity, which has an AD rate of 167.02%. Commerce will order liquidation for subject merchandise entered April 1, 2022, through March 31, 2023, at the China-wide rate of 167.02%.
