The Commerce Department has published the preliminary results of its antidumping duty administrative review on large diameter welded pipe from Canada (A-122-863). Rates calculated in this review will be used to set assessment rates for importers of subject merchandise from one producer and exporter and its affiliates that was entered May 1, 2022, through April 30, 2023.
The U.S. District Court for New Hampshire in Concord should reject the League of Women Voters’ motion for a preliminary injunction to block defendants Steve Kramer, broadband provider Lingo Telecom and robocall broadcaster Life Corp. from again sending illegal robocalls to voters in New Hampsire (see 2404290016), said Lingo’s opposition memorandum Friday (docket 1:24-cv-00073).

The Commerce Department is recognizing the name change of an Indian company for the purposes of an antidumping duty order on polyethylene terephthalate film, sheet, and strip (PET film) from India (A-533-824), it said in a notice of the final results of a changed circumstances review. The agency confirmed its preliminary finding that Garware Hi-Tech Films Limited is the successor-in-interest to Garware Polyester Limited, saying that Garware Hi-Tech operates as materially the same business entity as Garware Polyester with respect to the production and sale of subject merchandise. Commerce said that effective May 21, Garware Hi-Tech now inherits the AD rate assigned to Garware Polyester Limited, which is currently 4.45%.
