The International Trade Administration has issued its preliminary affirmative countervailing duty determination for galvanized steel wire from China (C-570-976), which sets the estimated CV cash deposit/bond rates for the four listed respondents and "All Others". These rates, which are officially effective for subject merchandise with a time of entry on or after September 6, 2011, as well as the suspension of liquidation, are expected to be implemented by CBP soon.

The ITA preliminarily determines that HYSCO would have a zero percent cash deposit rate. However, this rate is not in effect and may change when the final results are issued.
The International Trade Administration has issued the preliminary results of an antidumping duty new shipper review of honey from Argentina (A-357-812), which lists a proposed estimated cash deposit rate of zero percent for Enzo Juan Garaventa or Villamora S.A. as the manufacturer/exporter.
The Justice Department, in a surprisingly quick decision, said Wednesday it’s suing to block AT&T’s buy of T-Mobile. FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski and Commissioner Michael Copps were quick to react, issuing statements saying they too had concerns about the deal, raising the question of whether the transaction was in trouble at the commission as well. A top AT&T executive expressed surprise and said the company will fight the DOJ’s decision.

The International Trade Administration has initiated a new shipper review for the antidumping duty order on wooden bedroom furniture from China (A-570-890) at the request of Marvin Furniture (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. The ITA will determine if Marvin, as producer and exporter, is eligible for an estimated AD cash deposit rate other than the China-wide entity rate it currently receives (216.01%).
On August 30, 2011, the International Trade Administration issued a Fact Sheet announcing its preliminary negative countervailing duty determination for bottom mount combination refrigerator-freezers from Korea (C-580-865). As the preliminary determination only found de minimis (less than 1%) countervailable subsidies, there will be no CV cash deposit or bond requirements.
