The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on laminated woven sacks from China (A-570-916) (here). Commerce found all nine exporters under review did not prove independence from Chinese government control, assigning them to the China-wide entity with an AD duty rate of 47.64%. New cash deposit rates these companies take effect April 21.

A countervailing duty cash deposit requirement will take effect April 20 for imports of melamine from China (C-570-021) and Trinidad and Tobago (C-274-807), after the Commerce Department found illegal subsidization in its preliminary determination (here) and (here).

"Preliminary registered attendance" at the NAB Show reached 103,042, NAB said in a Tuesday announcement. The show's exhibition floor had 1,789 companies using 1.015 million net square feet of exhibit space, NAB said. The data are based on preshow and onsite registration and are "subject to an ongoing audit," it said. The show closes Thursday after four days of exhibits and six days of conferences. Final data from last year's event showed 97,915 attended and that total exhibit space was 947,000 net square feet, NAB said.

The Commerce Department changed the AD duty cash deposit rate for an importer of boltless steel shelving units prepackaged for sale from China (A-570-018), in an amended preliminary determination (here). Commerce said it inadvertently included HoiFat (NingBo) Office Facilities Co., Ltd. in the China-wide entity, when it was instead eligible for its own AD duty rate of 50.23%. As a result, Commerce is amending the table of rates in its preliminary AD duty determination as follows (as adjusted for export subsidies found in Commerce's concurrent CV duty investigation):

Suspension of liquidation is currently not in effect for entries on or after Jan. 27, and Commerce will only require cash deposits of estimated CV duties on future entries if it issues a CV duty order.
