The Commerce Department issued the preliminary results of its antidumping duty administrative review on frozen fish fillets from Vietnam (A-552-801) (here). In the final results of this review, Commerce will set assessment rates for subject merchandise entered August 2013 through July 2014.
Antidumping and countervailing duty investigations will continue on cold-rolled steel flat products from Brazil, China, India, Japan, Korea, Russia, and the United Kingdom, after the International Trade Commission voted on Sept. 10 that there is a "reasonable indication" U.S. industry is injured by dumped and subsidized imports (here). However, the AD duty investigation on cold-rolled steel from the Netherlands will end because the commission found imports from the country were negligible. Both votes were unanimous. The Commerce Department will now consider whether to impose cash deposit requirements on cold-rolled steel in its preliminary CV duty determinations, currently due Oct. 21, and its preliminary AD determinations, due Jan. 4 (both deadlines may be postponed).
The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on low-enriched uranium from France (A-427-818) (here). Commerce again found the only companies under review, AREVA and its related company Eurodif, had no shipments of subject merchandise to the U.S. during the period of review. As such, this company's AD cash deposit rate will not change. Any suspended entries that entered under AREVA's antidumping duty case numbers will be assessed AD duties at the all others rate.
