Drawback
A duty drawback is a refund by CBP of the duties, taxes, or fees paid on imported goods, which were imposed upon importation as prescribed in 19 U.S.C. 1313(d). More broadly, a drawback also includes the refund or remission of other excise taxes pursuant to other provisions of law.

The International Trade Administration (ITA) has issued a notice stating that it has decided to extend the comment period regarding its practice with respect to duty drawback adjustments to export price in antidumping (AD) proceedings. The new deadline for comments is August 15, 2005 (rather than July 25, 2005).
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued a proposed rule which would establish a new port-of-entry in the Tri-Cities areas of the States of Tennessee and Virginia, including the Tri-Cities Regional Airport. According to CBP, this new port-of-entry would include the same geographical boundaries of the current CBP User Fee Port No. 2082, which encompasses Sullivan County, TN; Washington County, TN; and Washington County, VA. The user fee status of Tri-Cities Regional Airport, located in Blountville, TN would be terminated. Comments must be received on or before September 27, 2005.
