Squire Patton Boggs has made several important leadership appointments across the United States, including its first US National Hiring Chair and several new Office Managing Partners and Practice Group Leaders.
Kendra Sherman has been appointed as the firm’s first US National Hiring Chair. Kendra has an active practice advising and counseling public and private companies in all areas of environmental law. With this added responsibility, she will work across the firm – including with the Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Office of DEI and Legal Personnel Committee teams – to ensure that associate recruiting, development and advancements efforts are optimized in order to achieve the firm’s hiring objectives in an increasingly competitive market for talent.
Commenting on Sherman’s appointment, Global Managing Partner Michele Connell said, “The market for talent is increasingly dynamic and we want the firm to continue to be a place that attracts high caliber candidates and where associates feel like they have the support to grow and develop their careers. Kendra’s appointment will be central to helping evolve our recruiting and development efforts.”

The firm’s leadership appointments are as follows:
New York Office:
Katharine Liao has been appointed managing partner of the New York office, effective January 1, 2024. Katharine is a partner in the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice representing employers in the retail, entertainment, technology and manufacturing industries in all aspects of employment-related litigation before federal and state courts and administrative agencies. She served as deputy office managing partner since 2021 and succeeds Greg Gale.
Tampa Office:
Stacy Krumin has been appointed managing partner of the Tampa office. Stacy is a member of the firm’s Global Board and a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Practice representing clients on development projects, investments, and financings. She succeeds Jeffrey Butt.
Environmental, Safety and Health Practice:
Peter Gould has been appointed practice group leader of the firm’s global Environmental, Safety and Health Practice group. Peter has a highly regarded multidisciplinary practice working with federal and state regulatory agencies, Congress, the private sector and nongovernmental organizations to counsel and represent clients on matters involving administrative and regulatory law, crisis management, government investigations, litigation and dispute resolution, and public policy. He succeeds Karen Winters.
US Labor & Employment Practice:
Meghan Hill has been appointed practice group leader of the firm’s US Labor & Employment Practice group, effective January 1, 2024. Meghan helps global clients prevent and resolve employment law issues. She has extensive experience working with international companies on litigation and compliance matters and also guides clients with labor and employment matters arising in mergers, acquisitions, restructurings and other business transactions. She succeeds Jill Kirila.
Public Infrastructure and Finance Practice:
Catie Romanchek has been appointed practice group leader for the Public & Infrastructure Finance Practice group, effective January 1, 2024. Catie focuses her practice on public finance transactions, serving as bond, disclosure and underwriters’ counsel in general obligation and revenue financings for public issuers, including municipalities, airport authorities and conduit issuers. She has a national reputation in airport finance and has served as bond and special counsel to the City of Cleveland since she began her legal career. She has served as deputy practice group leader since 2021 and succeeds Bob Labes.
Government Investigations & White Collar Practice:
Ben Glassman has been appointed deputy practice group leader for the firm’s Government Investigations & White Collar Practice group. Ben, a former U.S. Attorney, represents diverse clients who are under scrutiny by a U.S. enforcement agency and has also given over 130 oral arguments in cases before the United States Court of Appeals. He will work closely with practice group leader Kevin McCart to guide the firm’s internationally recognized and growing GIWC team.
