The National Marine Fisheries Service seeks comments on the potential automation of the submission of Certification of Admissibility data for fish imports in ACE, it said in an advance notice of proposed rulemaking released July 22. The agency seeks “input from stakeholders and interested parties on the reporting and recordkeeping burden of the certification of admissibility, on the procedures for using certification in the entry filing process, and on ways to reduce the reporting burden and expedite release of admissible shipments through use of the ACE single window portal,” it said.
The head of the Bureau of Industry and Security told senators that the agency expects to put out a rule by the end of the year adjusting how Section 232 exclusions are granted.
