CBP and ICE Homeland Security Investigations seized some $5 million worth of counterfeit merchandise in San Juan, Puerto Rico, during a four-day operation, said CBP in a press release. The operation, named "Forged Dreams, Valentine's Blitz," resulted in seizures of counterfeit designer clothing, jewelry, cosmetics, handbags, sunglasses and sportswear from 39 brands with a total manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $4,788,032, said CBP. The investigation was supported by the HSI-led National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center in Washington, CBP said.
Customs Rulings Online Search System (CROSS) was updated Feb. 22 with 202 rulings, bringing the total number of searchable rulings to 176,129. The most recent ruling is dated 02/22/2013.
CBP released its Feb. 20 Customs Bulletin (Vol. 47, No. 9). While the Bulletin does not contain any ruling articles, it does include recent general notices and Court of International Trade decisions.

CBP resolved technical problems when processing Automated Commercial System and Automated Commercial Environment entry summaries, said CBP in a CSMS message.
CBP posted a draft agenda for the March 6 meeting with the Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (COAC). CBP Seattle provided new contact information for the port's entry branch and commodity teams due to retirements and new staff members, said CBP Seattle in a Trade Information Notice.
CBP Portland selected Terminal Transfer as the Portland, Ore., area centralized examination station (CES), said CBP Portland field office in a trade bulletin. Terminal Transfer is located at 15745 N. Lombard St., Portland, Ore. 97203. The agreement between CBP and Terminal Transfer is effective for five years beginning Feb. 28, the bulletin said.
