The Apparel, Footwear & Textiles Center of Excellence and Expertise take over post-release trade processes for the entire industry as of Dec. 16, CBP said in a CSMS message (here). The expansion of the CEE's operations includes the handling "of entry summaries for the respective industry tariff lines," said CBP. The agency said last month (see 1511040014) it planned that the CEE would join the three other CEEs that handle industry-wide processing. CBP has said it plans to fully deploy the remaining six CEEs by the end of fiscal year 2016 (see 1506080012).
