Clear Terms

Search Primer

Term list: Separate terms with spaces, not commas or semicolons.

Multi-word term: Place inside quotes to ensure an exact match (e.g. "China import").

Acronyms: Use all capital letters to ensure the search is not looking for that letter sequence instead.

Required term: If a term must be included in any resulting articles, prefix it with a plus sign (e.g., +CBP).

Excluded term: If a term should be excluded from any articles being found, prefix it with a minus sign (e.g., -ruling).

Singular form: Always use the singular form when doing multi-word terms (e.g. "russian export control" instead of "russian export controls").

Shortest word form: When you have different word forms in a quoted (multi-word) term, you want to only include the shortest version if it is the last part of the expression (e.g., "entity list" instead of "entity listing" or "entity listed").

CBP Posts FY 2016 Byrd Amendment Disbursement Report

CBP posted its fiscal year 2016 Continued Dumping and Subsidy Offset Act (also known as the "Byrd Amendment") annual disbursement report (here). The report includes information on the disbursements for FY 2016 and includes case number, case name, the number CBP assigned to each certification, claimant name, dollar amount certified, allocation percentage and dollar amount paid. CBP disbursed a total of about $47.2 million for the year. CBP posted other sections of its annual report on the Byrd Amendment in December (see 1612050005).

CBP Schedules User Fee Committee Meeting

The User Fee Advisory Committee will next meet March 22 in Washington, CBP said in a notice (here). The Financial Assessment and Options subcommittee and Process Improvement subcommittee, the only two subcommittees, will provide updates, CBP said.

CBP Releases Feb. 15 Customs Bulletin

CBP released its Feb. 15 Customs Bulletin (Vol. 51, No. 7) (here). While it does not contain any rulings, it does include recent CBP notices and Court of International Trade opinions.
