In the June 7 issue of the CBP Customs Bulletin (Vol. 51, No. 23) (here), CBP published notices that propose to revoke or modify rulings and similar treatment for polyester yarn and earthmover tires.
Foreign currency exchange rates and a related query function will no longer be available in the ACE Automated Broker Interface as of July 8, CBP said in a CSMS message (here). The agency is instead directing filers to its exchange rate webpage (here), which includes PDF and XLS versions of exchange rate multipliers “easily downloadable for use by trade.”
The Customs Rulings Online Search System (CROSS) was updated June 8 (here) with 85 rulings. The most recent ruling is dated June 1.
CBP will soon issue a Federal Register notice clarifying requirements for post summary corrections of entry type 23 temporary importation bond entries, it said (here). “Changes to data elements of a TIB can be performed via PSC,” CBP said. “However, a PSC may not change a TIB entry to another entry type, nor can a PSC change a non TIB entry to a TIB entry. “
