CBP will deploy its updated Form 5106 (Create/Update Importer Identity Form) on March 16, CBP said in a Feb. 20 notice. "The legacy Importer Create/Update ABI application (TI) will be disabled at 8:00 pm on Friday, March 15, 2019," CBP said. "Any submissions of the TI after that time will be rejected. During the outage window, the new ACE Importer Create/Update functionality for Trade and CBP users will be deployed to ACE production. Legacy importer accounts will be converted to new ACE as part of the deployment of the 5106 in new ACE. Any new ACE Importer Create/Update submissions (TP) submitted to ACE prior to completion of the deployment will be held in queue and processed once the entire deployment is completed."

CBP published the quarterly Internal Revenue Service interest rates used to calculate interest on overdue accounts (underpayments) and refunds (overpayments) of customs duties. For the quarter that began Jan. 1 and ends March 31, the interest rates for overpayments increase to 5 percent for corporations and 6 percent for non-corporations, and the interest rate for underpayments will be 6 percent for both corporations and non-corporations. These interest rates are subject to change for the calendar quarter beginning April 1, and ending June 30, CBP said.
The following customs broker's license and all associated permits are revoked for failure to "employ at least one qualifying individual," CBP said in a notice.
CBP plans to revoke hundreds of customs broker's licenses by operation of law, without prejudice, for failure to file the 2018 triennial status report and applicable fee, it said in a notice. CBP’s list includes the broker name (individual or company), license number, and port name associated with the licenses being revoked.
