The Fish and Wildlife Service again delayed implementation of its partner government agency (PGA) message set in ACE, CBP said in a CSMS message. “FWS is still in the process of formulating regulations requiring the utilization of ACE to submit import data for FWS regulated commodities, and currently expects enforcement of mandatory submission in ACE to take effect in June 2021,” it said. FWS previously said it hoped to complete a rulemaking to allow for the implementation by the end of 2020 (see 2006230058).
More than 12.7 million counterfeit face masks were seized by CBP during fiscal year 2020, part of more than 950 seizures of either FDA-prohibited drugs or test kits, or counterfeit or fraudulent products aimed at fighting COVID-19, the agency said in its annual fiscal year report, released Feb. 4. About 51% came from China; 24% were discovered in the mail; and 53% were sent by express couriers. For general intellectual property seizures, 90% were in either international mail or express shipments.

CBP recently announced the following antidumping and countervailing duty evasion investigation under the Enforce and Protect Act:
CBP has released its Feb. 3 Customs Bulletin (Vol. 55, No. 4). While it contains general notices and recent court decisions, no customs rulings are included.
CBP will allow for an additional day for filing entries that were due on Feb. 1 or 2 at the Ports of JFK and New York/Newark, acting Port Director Edward Fox said in an emailed notice. “As a result of this situation, we are extending one (1) additional day without penalty for any late filed entry summaries and payments of duties that were due on these days in the Ports of JFK and New York/Newark,” he said.
