Export Compliance Daily combines U.S. export control news, foreign border import regulation and policy developments into a single daily information service that reliably informs its trade professional readers about important current issues affecting their operations.
- Upcoming webinar series on electronic refunds and the new forced labor portal will discuss the same information at each topic's webinars, CBP told International Trade Today. Therefore, a trade participant will not need to attend all three webinars on each topic. The electronic refund webinars will be on Wednesdays, Jan. 14, Jan. 28 and Feb. 11, between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. ET. Coming Feb. 6, all refunds will be issued electronically. The forced labor portal webinars will be on Jan. 13 at 11 a.m. ET, and at 1 p.m. ET on Jan. 14 and Jan. 15, ahead of the portal's launch later in the month.
- CBP has released into the ACE Production environment an update to the Declared Value and ISO Currency Code fields to be C for Conditional, required for an express bill. This update pertains to submitting Harmonized Tariff Schedule codes when filing an air import manifest (here).
