Export Compliance Daily combines U.S. export control news, foreign border import regulation and policy developments into a single daily information service that reliably informs its trade professional readers about important current issues affecting their operations.

Starting Feb. 6, CBP will issue refunds only electronically, unless an importer has received permission otherwise. The agency recently issued an interim final rule on the change (see 2512310016).

The webinars, which users may sign up for using links in a Jan. 6 cargo systems message, will occur on Wednesdays, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET, on the following dates: Jan. 14, Jan. 28 and Feb. 11.

CBP also said that it has "improved" the ACH refund sign-up process by adding an automated ACH Refund Authorization tool in the ACE Portal and automating the ACE Portal’s importer account application, which CBP says is necessary to access the new ACH Refund Authorization tool.

CBP issued a fact sheet on the transition last week (see 2601020016).
