Export Compliance Daily combines U.S. export control news, foreign border import regulation and policy developments into a single daily information service that reliably informs its trade professional readers about important current issues affecting their operations.

The agency says it issues EANs when trade entities are non-compliant with Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service regulations. CBP's fiscal year runs from Oct. 1 to Sept. 30.

Non-compliance stemming from prohibited animal products is the largest violation for all three years, according to the data. In FY 2025, prohibited animal products represented 42% of EANs, compared with 39% in FY 2024 and 35% in FY 2023.
