Export Compliance Daily combines U.S. export control news, foreign border import regulation and policy developments into a single daily information service that reliably informs its trade professional readers about important current issues affecting their operations.

Some of the activities involve submissions of documents to BIS, along with the "exchange of documents among parties in the export transaction to ensure that each party understands its obligations under U.S. law," the agency said. Others involve writing certain export control statements on shipping documents or reporting "unforeseen changes" in shipping. "Many of these activities are needed by the Office of Export Enforcement and [CBP] to document export transactions, enforce the [Export Administration Regulations] and protect the National Security of the United States."

Public comments are due by Feb. 17.
