Senator Blocks Vote to Label Russia a State Sponsor of Terrorism
Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., tried and failed Dec. 16 to have the Senate vote on his bill to designate Russia a state sponsor of terrorism until it returns more than 19,000 children it abducted during its Ukraine invasion.

Graham asked for unanimous consent for the Senate to take up the Designating the Russian Federation as a State Sponsor of Terrorism Act (see 2509110057 and 2510220035), but Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., objected, saying the legislation would derail efforts to negotiate a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine.
