House Democrats Seek Briefing on US Chip Deals With Saudia Arabia, UAE
Two House Democrats urged the Trump administration Nov. 20 to brief lawmakers on its decision to authorize the export of up to 35,000 of Nvidia's Blackwell advanced AI chips to companies based in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (see 2511190068).

House Select Committee on China ranking member Raja Krishnamoorthi, D-Ill., and Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove, D-Calif., the ranking member on the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on South and Central Asia, said they want to know what security measures will be put in place to protect sensitive U.S. technology.
Krishnamoorthi made his briefing request in a statement, while Kamlager-Dove made hers at a subcommittee hearing. Rep. Bill Huizenga, R-Mich., the subcommittee’s chairman, said classified briefings on several issues, including the chip deal, are being examined.
