CBP: Drawback Program Transferred to Natural Gas and Mineral Center of Excellence
Management of CBP's drawback program and its drawback specialists has been transferred to the Petroleum, Natural Gas and Mineral Center of Excellence and Expertise of the Houston Field Office "for enhanced uniformity and oversight," according to a Nov. 19 trade information notice.

This transition was effective Oct. 6. Claimants will see no immediate change to the transmission/processing of claims and submission of ruling and privilege application requests, CBP said. The federal government shutdown commenced Oct. 1.
