State Department Approves Military Sales to Germany, Denmark, Taiwan, Iraq

The State Department last week approved possible military sales -- to Germany, Denmark, Taiwan and Iraq -- the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said.

Germany will get $3.5 billion worth of “Standard Missile 6 Block I and Standard Missile 2 Block IIIC” missiles and related equipment, and the principal contractor will be RTX.

The sale to Denmark includes $318.4 million worth of "AIM-9X Block II Tactical Missiles" and related equipment, and the principal contractor will be RTX.

Taiwan will get $330 million worth of spare and repair parts for the F-16, C-130 and "Indigenous Defense Fighter (IDF) aircraft," among other equipment and services. The equipment will be transferred from U.S. government stock.

The sale to Iraq includes $100 million of radios, radio base station systems, radio repeater systems, very-high-frequency vehicular radio systems, intermediate power amplifier base station systems and more. The principal contractor will be L3Harris Corp.
