N351557: The country of origin of a tap, die and spiral screw extractor

N350953: The country of origin of a battery cell
Origin: Thailand
Item: The merchandise under consideration is identified as a lithium polymer prismatic battery cell with a rigid aluminum housing that is rectangular in shape. The subject battery cell will have a nominal voltage of 3.2 VDC, a nominal capacity of 314 Ah, and a nominal energy of 1005 Wh. The subject prismatic battery cell will be produced in Thailand from raw materials and component parts in a fully automated production line.
Reason: Various discrete material forms, including liquid chemicals, material rolls, and raw materials are sent to Thailand from China where they are made into a new product. The foreign materials are used in a production line and further processed into semi-manufactured materials and subcomponents, which are then used to create a battery cell.

N351179: The country of origin marking of LUMIFLEX 3-Stage Balloon Dilatation Catheter
Marking Sufficiency: No
Item: The country of origin for this product is China. The country of origin marking on each label is marked with a symbol with “CN” inside rather than stating “Made in China.” Among other product information in each label, it includes the U.S. company’s name, address, phone, and website.
Reason: Using a symbol indicating the origin, accompanied by the official ISO country code, such as “CN,” is not an acceptable marking to indicate the country of origin of the product. The name and address of the U.S. company are potentially misleading to the ultimate purchaser as to the country of origin of the good and trigger the special marking requirements of 19 CFR 134.46. The company name and address on each label therefore should be accompanied by a statement which includes the name of the actual country of origin preceded by “Made in,” “Product of,” or other words of similar meaning in close proximity and in lettering of comparable size.
