N.Y. AG Asks District Court to Deny Trump Request in DOGE Case
The U.S. District Court for Southern New York should deny a request from President Donald Trump asking to confirm the scope of the preliminary injunction court order in a case about unlawful access to private information, the New York state attorney general office said in a letter Tuesday.

"Defendants have not filed a formal motion or attempted to demonstrate irreparable harm to support any modification of the PI," said Colleen Faherty, on behalf of the attorney general's office.
Trump's attorneys filed a letter Monday in case 25-01144 requesting confirmation from the court that the preliminary injunction does not apply to the Internal Revenue Service's software application, called the Procurement for Public Sector, alleging that the software falls outside the scope of the injunction.
New York and 18 other states filed a complaint on Feb. 7 against the Trump administration to stop the allegedly unauthorized access to private information of Americans by Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (see 2502070050). Trump opposed the injunction on Feb. 11 (see 2502120036), but the court granted the preliminary injunction on Feb. 21 (see 2502240008).
