Section 301 Petition Withdrawn by Fentanyl Victims' Families
Facing Fentanyl, the Victims of Illicit Drugs and Families Against Fentanyl withdrew their Section 301 petition that asked the U.S. Trade Representative to double the 25% tariffs on Section 301 tariffs on lists 1 and 2 and asked the government to exclude Chinese goods from de minimis (see 2410180039).

U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai announced late Dec. 2 that the group had withdrawn the petition. "I want to applaud the leadership shown by Facing Fentanyl, V.O.I.D.: Victims Of Illicit Drugs, and Families Against Fentanyl in drawing attention to and underlining the urgency of our ongoing fentanyl crisis," she said. "I encourage and support their continued efforts to advocate for and bring about the progress that their loved ones -- and all our loved ones -- deserve to see.”
