Hardwood Plywood Importer Seeks Dismissal of Own Claim After Winning Related EAPA Case

A hardwood plywood importer sought dismissal of its case in the Court of International Trade after winning a similar one April 8 (Liberty Woods International Inc. v. U.S., CIT # 20-00143).

The importer, Liberty Woods International, and the U.S. had asked to wait until another case regarding an Enforce and Protect Act investigation on Liberty Woods’ products had concluded. It did so in April, with Commerce finding on voluntary remand that neither Liberty Woods nor three other importers had circumvented antidumping duty orders (see 2404080020). As a result, Liberty Woods said it no longer had any claims in this case.
