WTO Releases New Data Hub on Global Services Trade

The World Trade Organization on April 11 released a new "Global Services Trade Data Hub," allowing access to WTO data on services trade, the WTO announced. The hub includes four datasets, "covering digitally delivered services, trade in services by mode of supply, trade in commercial services, and the WTO-OECD Balanced Trade in Services dataset."

Export Compliance Daily combines U.S. export control news, foreign border import regulation and policy developments into a single daily information service that reliably informs its trade professional readers about important current issues affecting their operations.

The trade in services by mode of supply dataset contains services trade estimates via the "four modes of supply" noted in the General Agreement on Trade in Services as of this month and covers over 200 economies and regions for 2005-2022 for 55 sectors. The trade in commercial services set has estimates on commercial services trade for 150 economies and regions until 2023.

The balanced trade in services set has a "balanced matrix of international trade in services for over 200 reporting economies and their partners by sector for 2005-21," the WTO said.
