CBP Launches EAPA Statistics Dashboard

CBP released updated information on a dashboard with data and statistics about Enforce and Protect Act (EAPA) investigations from when the EAPA was implemented in FY 2016 to FY 2024 on March 11. The webpage categorizes investigations by possible country of origin, country of transshipment, and primary evasion scheme.

Export Compliance Daily combines U.S. export control news, foreign border import regulation and policy developments into a single daily information service that reliably informs its trade professional readers about important current issues affecting their operations.

The dashboard only includes investigations that made it to the interim measures and/or the "determination as to evasion" stage of an EAPA investigation, CBP said. The webpage includes interactive charts and an interactive map.

In all, there have been a total of 228 cases, with 178 cases featuring products with China as their possible country of origin. Over 200 cases focused on transshipment, with Malaysia having the highest count of transshipped products at 65. The data is accurate as of Jan. 11, CBP said.

CBP also launched a dashboard for e-Allegations. These tools show CBP's dedication to "'fair and effective trade enforcement by making key data accessible,'" said CBP’s Executive Director of Trade Remedy Law Enforcement Eric Choy in a news release on March 11.
