House Committee Eyes Renewing African Growth and Opportunity Act
The House Ways and Means Committee plans to consider how best to renew the African Growth and Opportunity Act, including whether any reforms are needed, the panel's leaders said on Jan. 18.

AGOA was enacted in 2000 to provide trade benefits to eligible sub-Saharan African countries. In 2015, Congress modernized and extended AGOA to 2025.
